Sony’s 2020 annual report as been released, and along with the word ‘synergy’ being used close to 45 million times, it has given us a few interesting facts and figures about where the PlayStation 4 is at now, and what Sony’s gaming plans are for the future.
As of the end of June 2020, the PlayStation 4 has sold 112.1 million units globally, has over 113 million monthly active PSN users, and over 45 Million accounts are subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
That’s roughly 40% of PS4’s that have an active PlayStation Plus subscription attached to them. Not too shabby!
The document also mentioned Sony’s plans to ‘explore expanding our 1st party titles to the PC platform, in order to promote further growth in our profitability.’
As long as the ports don’t arrive with too many issues, this is great news for PC gamers.
